Soroa, a place famous since the 17th century for its beauty, is also known as the Rainbow of Cuba. It is a privileged place for the conservation of the richness, variety and excellence of its flora and fauna. This site has the largest orchid garden in the country which is a paradise for lovers of these plants, you can find more than 750 different varieties of orchids and several species of ferns have found a pleasant refuge in this colorful garden.

Its main attraction is the spectacular 22-meter high waterfall that invites you to take a refreshing bath at any time of the year. This waterfall is caused by the Manantiales River and is one of the wonders of Cuban geography. From the top, there is a marvelous view of the place.

The community of Las Terrazas is located in the Sierra del Rosario, one of Cuba's natural fortresses, declared a Biosphere Reserve by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1985. Arriving at Las Terrazas is like entering the intensity of the exquisite wild places where humans and nature merge. This is the impression given by the evergreen forests, rivers and waterfalls of crystalline waters. To enter the community is to be certain that beautiful sites really exist and that human efforts to protect the natural environment persist.

Itinerary

• Pick up from hotels by air-conditioned bus according to a staggered schedule established for the excursion.
• Extensive tour of the Northwest Coast from Havana to the Sierra del Rosario, through highways, embankments, roads, sugarcane fields and peasant villages.
• Visit to the Orquideario de Soroa.
• We continue our journey towards Las Terrazas. Reception in Curujey, welcome cocktail and brief explanation of the Project.
• Visit to the Community of Las Terrazas. Walk through the Callejón de la Moka and taste a local coffee.
• Visit to the Buenavista Coffee Plantation, a partially restored 19th century coffee plantation.
• Lunch in one of the restaurants of the Complex according to availability, except in the Casa del Campesino and El Romero
• Visit to the San Juan River and time for swimming
• Return to the hotels in Havana.
