“Ruins of coffee plantations” Trail
Soroa, is known as the Rainbow of Cuba because among its main attractions is the spectacular waterfall of 22 meters high that invites you to take a refreshing bath at any time of year and that with the rays of the sun in some hours of the day you can appreciate a rainbow in its waters. A place of great richness, variety and excellence of its flora and fauna. It also has the largest orchid garden in the country where you can find more than 750 different varieties of orchids and ferns.
Walking through paths with exuberant vegetation, bordering rivers and waterfalls of crystalline waters is to have the certainty that beautiful places really exist and that human efforts to protect the natural environment persist. Soroa, located in the Province of Artemisa, is the ideal place for these tours, which is why we have designed a series of tours through various trails in this place for your enjoyment.
“Ruins of coffee plantations” Trail, tour of approximately 7 km where the visitor will be able to interact with the nature and the biodiversity of the zone, especially, our avifauna, that counts in this territory with more than 100 species approximately, between endemic and migratory, also we counted on more than 25 species of reptiles more than 20 species of butterflies and plants with medicinal properties like the platanillo of Cuba, the pineapple of mouse, among others. We will visit the ruins of old coffee plantations where the French settlers who settled in the area used to go. At the end you will be able to take a refreshing bath in the calm and crystalline waters that furrow one of the parts of this old property.
