Ernest Hemingway, an American writer, has been in love with Cuba since his first visit in 1932, motivated first of all by marlin fishing. It was not until 1939, however, that Hemingway decided to move to the island and had his initial settlement in the Ambos Mundos Hotel in Old Havana. Today, this hotel preserves the room used by the writer as a small museum.

After deciding to stay, he found a property on the outskirts of the city ideal for writing, Finca Vigia, where he lived until 1960 when he returned to the U.S., a year before committing suicide.

Hemingway frequented the Bar-Restaurants La Bodeguita del Medio and El Floridita, he tasted in the Bodeguita the tasty mojito and in the Floridita the famous Daiquiri which was the writer's favourite drink, in the latter place there is a statue in his honour.

Program:

• Pick up from hotels by air-conditioned bus according to the staggered schedule established for the excursion.
• A tour along the route of the famous writer will allow you to enjoy:
• Visit to the Hemingway Museum at the La Vigia estate, the Cuban residence of the Nobel Prize winner.
• Panoramic tour of the town of Cojímar, the center of his work The Old Man and the Sea, and where a monument was erected in his memory.
• Visit to the Floridita bar-restaurant, a place frequented by the writer.
• Visit to the Hotel Ambos Mundos with a welcome cocktail and a tour of his hotel room.
• Lunch at Las Terrazas de Cojímar (subject to availability).
• Return to the hotels.
