With an approximate population of 300 inhabitants, where they are linked to the activity of the fishing and agricultural cooperative located in the Siguanea area, commerce and gastronomic services, among others, there are 51 houses and two multifamily buildings, although in recent years It observes a tendency to the construction and restoration of housing with the purpose of being used as a temporary rental for tourist use, in this route the creeks of hell and Lugo are included, as well as, Cabo Pepe, by places of great natural beauty. At the beginning of the century, they arrived in Simeón and Punta de Cocodrilo, emigrants from Caimaneros, where they settled and formed the first houses with the style of their country, maintaining the tradition, within them the Jackson family, during this period, their livelihood it was only hunting and fishing, where years later they had contact with the inhabitants of the Isle of Pines, today you can see in the community houses with the same structure of that time, inhabited by descendants and their families, preserving the same traditions of that era.
