Guamá is a site located in the Zapata Peninsula, which is synonymous of virgin nature and exuberant tropical vegetation. The tranquil Great Montemar Natural Park (commonly known as Guamá), attracts lovers of wildlife and intact habitats, rather than adventure seekers. Highlights include: the crocodile breeding center, La Laguna del Tesoro, El Pueblo Taino (built in 1962), where you'll walk among about 25 life-size stone images scattered throughout a small island and representing the daily life of Cuba's indigenous people. Probably the biggest treasure you will find is the nature surrounding the place. Don't miss this opportunity to be in tune with nature.
Planned itinerary
- Pick up from hotels by air-conditioned bus according to a staggered schedule established for the excursion.
- Visit to the Fiesta Campesina Tourist Farm.
- Arrival to the Peninsula of Zapata, declared by UNESCO as a Natural Reserve of the Biosphere.
- Visit to the crocodile farm.
- Trip by speedboat through the Laguna del Tesoro to the Guamá Tourist Center, visit to the Taino village, an exact replica of a Cuban aboriginal settlement.
- Optional visit to the Cueva de los Peces.
- Stay in Caleta Buena or Punta Perdiz (depending on availability).

- This tour has guaranteed departures with no minimum number of passengers on Tuesdays. The rest of the week operates with a minimum of 8 passengers.
- All excursions are guaranteed in English and Spanish. Other languages will be confirmed according to availability.
Cancellation and no show policy:
- Cancellations more than 72 hours before the tour: No penalty applies.
- Cancellations between 72 hours and 48 hours before the tour: a penalty of 50% of the total value of the excursion applies.
- Cancellations less than 48 hours before the tour: a penalty of 100% of the total value of the excursion applies.
- NO-SHOW: a penalty of 100% of the total value of the excursion applies.
