Explore the charm, culture, and authentic Cuban atmosphere of Holguín City, often celebrated as the “City of Parks” for its beautiful squares and lively public spaces. Located in eastern Cuba, Holguín offers a harmonious blend of history, tradition, and local life, making it an essential destination for travelers seeking a deeper connection with Cuban culture.

The city’s historic center is filled with colonial architecture, museums, and palm-lined promenades. Landmarks such as Parque Calixto García, the cultural heart of Holguín, invite visitors to stroll among monuments, cafés, and art galleries. Nearby, the Provincial Museum of History, the La Periquera Museum, and the Cathedral of San Isidoro showcase the region’s rich heritage, from its indigenous roots to its colonial past.

Itinerary: (tour sequence may vary)

• Transfer from hotels to the city of Holguín with a visit to one of our tobacco factories, Fca. Jesús Feliú, to learn about the Cuban tobacco manufacturing process.
• Visit to the José María Ochoa Music Conservatory, which offers an introduction to our folk traditions through presentations of the musical instruments used in our traditional music.
• Visit to the Casa de Iberoamérica cultural institution to enjoy a performance by a dance and music group, featuring popular music, rumba, Bantú, guaguancó, etc.
• We continue with a Creole lunch at one of our most centrally located restaurants, La Bodeguita del Medio.
• Then visit the La Campana cigar shop to appreciate and enjoy the pairing of a good cigar with the much-loved Cuban rum.
• Return to the place of origin with a more vivid experience and a little more Cuban flavor.
