FRUTILLAR, is a city located in the western bay of Lake Llanquihue, in Patagonia, Los Lagos region, Chile. It is characterized by views of the volcanoes and the shore of the bay next to the horizon of the great Llanquihue Lake. A place where peaceful life, cheerful gardens, colorful houses and tea rooms mix. It is known for the German traditions of its founders and the Frutillar Music Weeks. Thanks to this festival and the Teatro del Lago, the city has become the capital of music in Chile. Frutillar perfectly represents southern traditions. We will appreciate these traditions in its architecture, species of roses introduced in the gardens, and in the typical pastry and gastronomy.
MUSEO COLONIAL ALEMÁN, is an architectural and ethnographic museum open to the public on January 28, 1984 in the city of Frutillar, devoted mainly to German immigration to the Llanquihue area in the Los Lagos region of Chile.
LAGO LLANQUIHUE, corresponds to the second largest lake in Chile after Lake General Carrera, with an area of 860 km². Its depth is not known with certainty, but some string soundings have returned figures greater than 350 m. It is at an altitude of 70 m above sea level. It is located in the Los Lagos Region, Chile, between the provinces of Llanquihue and Osorno.
Itinerary
Departure from our hotel in Puerto Varas, heading towards the shores of Lake Llanquihue.
Then we will visit the beautiful city of Frutillar.
Later we will appreciate the Lake Theater, one of the largest and most modern in South America, and the German Colonial Museum.
Finally, we will return to our hotel in Puerto Varas.
