Itinerary

  • Approaching these animals requires great stealth, patience, and, above all, avoiding casting your shadow on them, primarily to avoid disturbing them and ruining the observation. The distance at which the animal will allow you to approach varies greatly depending on the time of year, the time of day, and the species, among other factors. For example, common frogs, large lizards, snakes, and aquatic turtles tend to flee sooner than other reptiles and amphibians. In these locations, you can find endemic fauna of the area, including the bearded anole (Anolis barbatus), a species that is found in only a few places in the country, and our protected area is one of them.
