SANTIAGO, the capital and largest city of Chile, is located in a valley surrounded by snow-capped peaks of the Andes and the Chilean Coastal Mountain Range. The Plaza de Armas, the great nucleus of the old colonial center of the city, has 2 neoclassical monuments: the Palacio de la Real Audiencia from 1808, where the National Historical Museum is located, and the Metropolitan Cathedral from the 18th century. La Chascona is the house transformed into a museum of the poet Pablo Neruda.
CERRO SANTA LUCIA is an urban park located in the heart of the city of Santiago de Chile. It borders to the south with Avenida Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins, where the Santa Lucía station of the Santiago Metro is located, to the west with Calle Santa Lucía, to the north with Calle Merced and to the east with Calle Victoria Subercaseaux. It has an altitude of 629 m s. n. m., a height of 69 m and a surface of 65,300 m².
Itinerary
Departure from our hotel in Santiago to begin our journey towards the center of the city, where we will know its main attractions.
During the journey we will have a panoramic view of the Bellavista neighborhood, the Central Market, the Mapocho Station and the Museum of Fine Arts.
Then, we will get off the bus to take a guided tour of the Cerro Santa Lucía, and soon we will go to the Plaza de Armas de Santiago, from where we will be able to see the Cathedral of Santiago, Municipality, Post Office and National Historical Museum.
Our trip will continue with a panoramic view of the Former National Congress and La Moneda, the Government Palace of Chile.
The journey will continue with a visit to the Club Hípico, University District and Concha y Toro Neighborhoods.
Finally, we will take a panoramic walk through the Modern Santiago and we will arrive at the Faba store, specialized in the manufacture of jewelry in Lapis Lazuli, a stone that is only found in Chile and Afghanistan.
Then, we will return to our hotel in Santiago.
