VALLE NEVADO, is a ski center located in Farellones 46 kilometers east of Santiago, the capital of Chile.

It is one of the most recent ski centers in Chile. It was created in 1988 by French businessmen, following the patterns of the winter resorts of the Alps, on the slopes of Cerro El Plomo, in the Andean mountain range near Santiago.

This ski center has one of the largest skiable areas in South America and is considered one of the most modern on the continent. In recent years, the slopes have been expanded and a snow park and halfpipe have been created for acrobatic skiing, freestyle skiing, ski jumping and snowboarding. Since 2003, Valle Nevado has hosted one of the dates of the Snowboard World Cup. You can also practice heliskiing.

Itinerary

• We leave from our hotel in Santiago heading east, ascending the Andes Mountains to reach Valle Nevado, located 46 kilometers from Santiago, at 3,670 meters above sea level; This is the highest ski resort in the Santiago area and one of the most modern in South America.

• On the way, we will be able to see endemic vegetation and small streams, and also enjoy the impressive view of the Andes Mountains.

• At the top of the mountain, we will find three hotels belonging to Valle Nevado, crowning the impressive view. He has well-prepared careers; in the first stage 8 lifts, including 2 chairlifts, with a total length of 7,000 meters.

• This visit can be done during the summer, because during this season there are several excursions to explore the colorful flora that these high mountains treasure.

• Upon reaching our destination we will visit Valle Nevado, the largest and most modern ski center in the southern hemisphere. Here we have the option of enjoying a chairlift ride (not included).

• Later our tour continues to Farellones, the oldest mountain town in Chile, located in the Mapocho basin.

• Here we have the opportunity to have lunch (not included) before finally beginning the return to our hotel in Santiago.
