“MATETIC VINEYARD” TOUR

VALLE DE CASABLANCA became the tenth world capital of wine, joining the prestigious list made up of Bilbao-Rioja, Bordeaux, Christchurch-South Island, Cape Town, Florence, Mainz-Rheinhessen, Mendoza, Oporto and San Francisco-Napa Valley. This wine-producing valley, one of the main premium wine centers in Chile, is strategically located just one hour from Santiago and 30 minutes from Valparaíso, in the middle of two of the largest metropolitan areas in the country. Thanks to the development of high-quality wines and a first-rate gastronomy, Casablanca has become an important wine tourism destination in Chile that offers accommodation, tours to the different vineyards and tastings. It is part of the Chilean wine routes.

VIÑA MATETIC, is located in the Rosario Valley, a few kilometers from the Pacific coast in the Valparaíso Region. The history of the winery began in 1999 with the challenge of planting Syrah in a cold climate area and becoming a benchmark for wines, focused on quality and excellence. This is how they created wines that later showed the great potential of coastal Chile. This is how a team was formed with the best professionals in the world of oenology, organic agriculture and biodynamics to make this vineyard a friendly place with the environment and nature.

Itinerary

• Departure from our hotel in Santiago towards the Casablanca Valley.

• During the trip it is possible to appreciate the beauty of the vineyards of this valley, known for being one of the most important in the production of premium white wines in Chile.

• Upon arriving at Viña Matetic it is possible to live the experience around the Chilean countryside and its wines, taking a horse or bicycle tour, in a place surrounded by beautiful gardens and an artificial lagoon.

• In addition, we will take a tour to the wine cellar, where we will understand the biodynamic process of vinification, bottling and storage. Of course we will also enjoy the tasting of their wines and a typical lunch at their Equilibrio restaurant.

• In the afternoon, we will return to our hotel.
